De-Chrome Blackout

De-Chroming (also known as chrome delete) is the process of removing or covering chrome trim and accents on a vehicle to give it a sportier and more aggressive appearance. Manufacturers now offer ‘black edition’ models, however, for lower specification vehicles, a blackout programme can be the perfect solution to making your vehicle look sportier and more aggressive.

This process is normally applied to window trims, door handles, roof rails, grills, badges, wing mirrors and side steps. At VEA Automotive our de-chrome process involves the parts being sanded down, primed, and painted to match the car’s body colour or any desired finish. This method provides a permanent solution that will provide longevity against the external elements and is likely to make your vehicle more desirable to the next owner.
